It’s your special day. Make it unforgettable by hosting your rehearsal dinner, quinceñera, baby shower, wedding shower, wedding reception, and so much more at the Federal Way Community Center.

Whether you are planning an intimate rehearsal dinner for 40 or a large wedding reception with music and dancing, our banquet rooms are airy and light-filled, and can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Rental rooms are adjacent to a lush greenbelt area, and offer access to an outdoor terrace, ideal for an indoor/outdoor wedding or other special event.

Our talented event staff can assist with set-up and take-down, and make sure your special day goes smoothly. Our rental rates are highly competitive, and we have more than 200 on-site parking spaces available.

OUR BANQUET HALL | ALDER, BIRCH, & CEDAR

Our 3 bay banquet hall is perfect for both large and small gathers with closing bay walls that can separate the hall into 3 separate rooms. Ideal for wedding receptions, quinceñeras, larger showers, anniversaries, banquets, and much more! 

Our banquet hall incorporates the spaciousness of contemporary architecture with the natural beauty of the outdoors. Gorgeous wooden floors provide enough room for your guests to dance the night away! Tall windows and high ceilings let in natural light and allow expansive views of native trees and plants that create a perfect setting for photography. Exterior doors provide easy access for an indoor/outdoor event, and a landscaped terrace makes an ideal backdrop for picture taking, after-dinner toasts or exchanging vows.

The banquet suite is composed of three flexible-design rooms — Alder, Birch and Cedar. Each room comfortably seats 96 banquet style, perfect for smaller social events. For larger gatherings and receptions, we recommend combining two rooms or renting the full banquet hall. 

* Customers must supply their own tables and chairs for patio seating.

THE FOREST LOUNGE

The Forest Lounge provides an intimate and comfortable space for you and up to 70 guests. A perfect location for baby showers, wedding showers, birthdays, anniversaries, award banquets, and more. Large windows allow the room to be filled with natural light and provide gorgeous scenery outlooking the wooded area behind FWCC. Complete with a kitchenette and counter space for your convenience!

THE MAPLE ROOM

Our Maple Room provides the perfect space for smaller gatherings and events. Large windows provide natural lighting to fill the space. This room is excellent for birthdays, lectures, anniversaries, and much more.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Serving alcohol is permitted with a licensed bartender (hosted bar), with a banquet permit, which must be posted for the duration of the event with a banquet permit.
  • ONLY beer, wine, and champagne are permitted.
  • Alcohol MUST be served in plastic cups or glasses. BOTTLES AND CANS ARE PROHIBITED.
  • All alcohol must stay within the designated rental area.
  • Serving alcohol must stop at least two hours prior to your end rental time.
  • Kegs must stay outside, and be served out of a plastic garbage can.
  • To maintain adequate security measures in light of the size and nature of the event, the City may schedule licensed security at the expense of the applicant. Fees for security will be determined at the time of rental application.

FWCC provides tables and chairs. Renter will need to provide guest count and the amount of table and chairs needed 7 days prior to the event. FWCC staff will have these available for the renter to setup their space.

FWCC does not offer catering services. All renters must provide their own catering services. FWCC offers an in-house catering kitchen available for an additional fee with your rental.

All set up and decoration must be done by the renter DURING the rental time period. Additional time can be added onto your rental (depending on availability) for $140/hr.

FWCC does NOT permit the following items to be used for the hanging of decorations:

  • Tacks
  • Tape
  • Staples
  • Wire
  • Putty

Decoration items that are NOT permitted include:

  • Confetti & confetti balloons
  • Glitter
  • Birdseed or rice
  • Fog machines & bubble machines
  • Balloons and animals may not be released into the environment
