Drop-in Recreation Programs 

We offer multiple drop-in activities for seniors in the community to come and enjoy their day! Come make new friends and try something new at the Federal Way Community Center! No Registration is required for these programs, just drop-in! All programs are held at The Federal Way Community Center unless otherwise noted.

Summer Mariners Matinee Games!

Take in the excitement of Seattle Mariners baseball with our group trips to T-Mobile Park. These afternoon games are a great way to enjoy the ballpark atmosphere, watch America’s favorite pastime, and spend a fun day cheering on the home team! Club Terrace seating.

Nutrition + Free Lunch Programs

Our Nutritional Programs for Seniors are designed to support healthy eating and ensure access to nutritious meals for older adults. Whether through home-delivered meals or community meal options, these programs help seniors maintain a balanced diet and improve overall well-being. We are committed to making healthy eating convenient, accessible, and tailored to the needs of our senior community.

Learn & Lunch – FREE Senior Lunch

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
(Lunch served at 11:45 AM)

In collaboration with the Steel Lake Presbyterian Church and the Federal Way Community Center, we proudly present a FREE lunch program for all seniors in the Federal Way Community. Join us monthly for a nutritious meal tailored to enrich the health and well-being of our Federal Way seniors! Our primary aim is to offer nutritious meals without cost, ensuring seniors receive essential nourishment.

Sound Generations Community Dining Elder Hot Lunch

1st & 3rd Friday 10 AM – 1 PM

Sound Generations Community Dining program is a network of sites throughout Seattle & greater King County where those aged 60 and up can enjoy an affordable, nutritious meal with other older adults. Hot lunch on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

No eligible participant will be denied meals due to inability to contribute toward the cost of the meals. The contribution shall be confidential. At all of our community dining locations, a suggested donation of $3-$5 is encouraged for those 60 and older. A $10 contribution is asked for those under 60.

Free! Senior Advisory Connections Lunch

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
(Lunch served at noon)

A FREE Connections Lunch hosted by the Senior Advisory Commission, offering Federal Way seniors a welcoming space to connect, enjoy refreshments, hear guest speakers, and learn about local resources. Located at the Federal Way Community Center.

Korean Elder Lunch

Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Join us for a welcoming community lunch designed for Korean elders. In addition to a nutritious meal, the Evergreen Club offers supportive services that help Korean seniors stay active, connected, and supported within the community. Programs may include English as a Second Language (ESL), social services, cultural connection, and opportunities to socialize with friends. Suggested donation is $3.

한인 어르신 점심 모임
화요일 및 목요일 | 오전 10시 – 오후 1시

한인 어르신들을 위한 따뜻한 공동체 점심 모임에 함께하세요. 에버그린 클럽은 점심 식사뿐만 아니라 어르신들이 지역사회에서 건강하고 활기차게 생활할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 서비스를 제공합니다. 프로그램에는 영어 교육(ESL), 사회복지 지원, 문화 교류, 그리고 어르신들이 함께 교류할 수 있는 활동 등이 포함될 수 있습니다. 권장 기부금은 $3입니다.

Meals on Wheels 

Sound Generations Meals on Wheels accepts King County, WA residents aged 60 or more, who have difficulty shopping or cooking. They have a suggested donation of $6 per meal. For those under 60. Don’t live in King County, WA? Click here to find a Meals on Wheels program near you.

Senior Assistance & Classes

We are proud to provide the seniors of the Federal Way with the support they need through specialized classes and services. If you need more support we highly recommend visiting the Sound Generations website for additional resources.

AARP Safe Driver Course

AARP offers this two day, 8 hour course on driving for adults age 50 and above. All work will be in a classroom setting. Show your completed course certificate to your insurance for a discount! There will be a $25 material fee for non AARP members and a $20 material fee for members, payable to the instructor during class.

SHIBA – Health Insurance Advisor – FREE by Appointment

Need help understanding your Medicare options? SHIBA offers free, unbiased advice to help you make informed decisions about coverage, plans, and costs. A trained SHIBA volunteer is available for appointments on the second Thursday of each month. Take advantage of this valuable resource to ensure your healthcare needs are met with confidence and clarity.

Appointments must be made over the phone. No online bookings.

Volunteer Transport – FREE

Volunteer Transportation Service (VTS) helps King County seniors get to their medical appointments. Volunteer Transportation Service has an amazing group of vetted volunteers who use their personal vehicles to transport riders, providing an important avenue for independent living and community building. Our rides are Free but donations are welcome. We request one-week advanced notice for any ride request. Our rides are dependent on volunteer availability and are not guaranteed.

Hyde Shuttle Service – FREE

Hyde Shuttle provides demand response, door-to-door, ADA/Wheelchair accessible transportation for seniors (55 and over) and those living with disabilities in King County communities. Our friendly, specially trained drivers can transport riders to senior and community centers, grocery stores, medical appointments, local destinations, and more within a rider’s given service area. Hyde Shuttle is Free, but donations are welcome and much appreciated. Hyde Shuttle allows you to reclaim your independence and helps you travel, socialize, and thrive within your community.
