Our certified personal trainers have developed quite a reputation locally for their technical skills and their enthusiasm. These folks can help you squeeze out that last rep and keep a smile on your face at the same time.

Choose from one-on-one training or small group training. All at reasonable hourly rates.

Please contact the trainer of your choice directly. Payment is accepted at the front desk of the Federal Way Community Center. Bring a copy of your receipt to your first training session.

A friend introduced me to weight lifting when I was 18. This became the beginning of my lifelong passion for fitness; how it makes me feel, look and how it can change people’s lives. Now that I’m over 50, I can appreciate the affect it’s had on my health. Now, there are new tools and methods to keep fitness interesting and even more effective, plus sharing this with others is never boring. I love putting together SMART and FUN workouts that achieve maximum results. I achieve this by addressing strength, endurance, flexibility, metabolism and the whole person. I love passing along what I’m learning, that is why education is a constant element in my workouts. My particular interests are working with women who are ready to get their body back after having kids, new exercisers and those over 50 years old who are not ready grow old. “My greatest joy is to see how people’s live transform as they get fit, healthy and whole – body, soul and spirit.”

I’ve worked as a Certified Personal Trainer since 2005. I’m passionate about helping people turn their fitness goals into realities. My experience has given me the wisdom to create individual training routines that take into consideration your health history. There’s always something that can be done to train your body even with ailments like bad knees or a bad back. During our sessions you can expect to gain confidence in yourself as you attain mastery of the exercises. You’ll feel this confidence flow into other areas of your life as well.

In addition to working out in the gym, I love staying active outdoors. My wife and I regularly go hiking, mountain biking, fishing and hunting. My greatest physical accomplishment has been making it to the summit of Mt. Rainier. Part of the training for Mt Rainier included also summiting Mt St Helens and Mt Adams. Mountaineering has many correlations to life; Setting a goal, planning for success, overcoming obstacles and setbacks, celebrating success and starting on the next goal. I hope I can be a part of your next goal.

Being new to the gym, starting a new fitness program, or working with a personal trainer can be intimidating at first. I strive to create a judgment free and positive environment for my clients to help them gain more confidence in the gym, and overall in themselves, while we work towards their fitness goals!
I have had a passion for fitness and weightlifting for the past 10 years. I studied Kinesiology for a time at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) where I was able to gain science-based knowledge of the body and how it moves. Combining my own personal weightlifting experience, kinesiology, and my training certification I am ready to help my clients achieve their fitness goals! I train all ages and fitness levels, but I specialize in women’s fitness and beginner weightlifters/exercisers.
I achieve results for my clients by addressing overall stability, strength, muscular endurance, and metabolism. I like to use a combination of free weights, body weight, and machines to achieve maximum results through a fun and informative workout.

I’ve been a professional fitness trainer for the past year and a half. With a background in competitive sports, my personal training strengths include: balance, stability, power and endurance. I’m all about functional movements that translate from sports to daily life. I work with every individual to help you find your strengths and weaknesses then challenge you in ways that produce tangible results. I tailor every workout to suit your needs and any limitations.
Having served in the US Army for 6 years, I know how important it is to maintain a level of fitness that allows you to perform at your peak when it matters the most. I learned many skills that translate into the fitness field and I’m excited to bring my knowledge into the gym.
I like to challenge myself to come up with fresh exercises so you never get “stuck” when it comes to your fitness levels. Challenging your body in different ways is the key to getting results. Whatever your goals may be, I’ll help you achieve them and guarantee you’ll never get bored of the exercise selection. I’m an expert at explaining and demonstrating in ways that everyone can understand. I promise, you’ll never be confused or have to wonder if you’re “doing it right”.
I enjoy using everything at my disposal. Every wonder what that piece of equipment does? Don’t worry, we’ll probably be using it soon! I use free weights, cabled machines, accessories and body weight exercises often in the same circuit. The TRX is a specialty of mine and I hope you’ll come join us for a small group class soon or book some one on one time so we can discuss your specific goals!
