Meet Our Trainer
Being new to the gym, starting a new fitness program, or working with a personal trainer can be intimidating at first. I strive to create a judgment free and positive environment for my clients to help them gain more confidence in the gym, and overall in themselves, while we work towards their fitness goals!
I have had a passion for fitness and weightlifting for the past 10 years. I studied Kinesiology for a time at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) where I was able to gain science-based knowledge of the body and how it moves. Combining my own personal weightlifting experience, kinesiology, and my training certification I am ready to help my clients achieve their fitness goals! I train all ages and fitness levels, but I specialize in women’s fitness and beginner weightlifters/exercisers.
I achieve results for my clients by addressing overall stability, strength, muscular endurance, and metabolism. I like to use a combination of free weights, body weight, and machines to achieve maximum results through a fun and informative workout.
Certifications: NASM Certified Personal Trainer, CPR/AED-First aid
I have been in the health and fitness industry since 2012 and have really sought higher education as a means to provide the best training modalities to each of my clients and class participants. I believe that everyone has their own ideal healthy version of themselves in which they strive and aim, and I take the role of trainer with the goal to help each person actualize those goals.
Functionality, longevity and mobility are always a highlight of my training but I also train with strength endurance, hypertrophy, maximal strength, stability, balance, coordination, agility, power and HIIT. I’ve learned over the years how to modify and customize my classes to cater towards each participant’s individual needs and concerns (injuries, surgeries etc.) in order to provide the safest and most effective training for them.
I am currently pursing my Master’s with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and have logged close to 10000 hours as a personal trainer. I believe each session should be educational but also fun! While I can go on about the science behind movement mechanics, I invite you to join me for a Small Group Personal Training Class. I like to bring the science along with high frequency vibes, good times and a progressive approach to get you closer to your goals!
Certifications: NASM CPT, NASM Behavioral Change Specialist, NASM Group Personal Training Specialist, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, Integrated Flexibility Accreditation, CPR/AED Certified
