Group Fitness Training

Group Active® — gives you all the fitness training you need – cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility – in just one hour. Get stronger, fitter, and healthier with inspiring music, adjustable dumbbells, weight plates, body weight, and simple athletic movements. ACTIVATE YOUR LIFE!

Group Power® — Our most popular fitness class. This barbel program strengthens all your major muscles using squats, lunges, presses and curls.

Group Fight® — A fusion class of martial arts and boxing movements timed to modern music. Punch, Fight and smile as you define and shape your body with confidence.

Group Centergy® — will grow you longer and stronger with an invigorating 60-minute mind-body workout. It incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for balance, mobility, flexibility, and the core. Emotive music drives the experience as you breathe and sweat through this full-body fitness journey. REDEFINE YOUR SELF.

Group Ride® — Pedal in groups, roll over hills, chase the pack, climb mountains and spin your way to burning calories and strengthening your lower body. This 60 minute cycling program is geared for anyone who can ride a bike. Group Ride is a FWCC Member only class. No day pass visitors please.

Group Blast® — Get your cardio fix with 60 minutes of step training. Improve your fitness, agility, balance and strength with athletic exercises that utilize the step in dynamic new ways. The exciting music and group experience will get your heart pounding and your sweat pouring. Have a blast with Group Blast!

Group Core® — Train like an athlete in 30 action-packed minutes. A strong core, from your shoulders to your hips, will improve your athletic performance, help prevent back pain, and give you ripped abs! Expert coaching and motivating music will guide you through functional and integrated exercises using your body weight, weight plates, a towel, and a platform—all to challenge you like never before.

Group Groove® — Group Groove is great for those that might think exercise is a bit too serious and prefer to smile, scream, and sweat their way to getting fitter and healthier. If you always tap your foot or wiggle your hips when you hear music, or if you want your hour of exercise to fly by, well then, Groove is for you!

Cardio Kick — Cardio kickboxing combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout.

COMMIT Dance Fitness — is a dynamic, fun filled, HITT influenced dance workout. Our classes consist of all music genres including latin, hip hop, pop, country, soca, reggaeto, etc. as well as incorporating traditional fitness movements.

Barre — is a high rep, low impact full body workout that will help strengthen, tone, define, and chisel our entire body while increasing flexibility and improving posture. This is a hybrid workout class — combining elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training.

Chair Yoga® — is a universal class designed specifically to target balance, range of movement, muscular endurance, restorative breathing and mind-body integration improvement.

Kickboxing — using a bag, enhances aerobic fitness, coordination, power, core stability, stamina, and endurance. Increases self-defense skills. Enhances boxing technique. Improves upper-body strength and strengthen ligaments and bones.

Low Impact Circuit® — Combine fun with fitness to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing and mat focused circuit workout. Strength work combined with low impact exercises.

Mix It Up — keep your mind interested and your body challenged. Get the best of both worlds and work your entire body, heart and lungs with a combination of cardio and strength

SilverSneakers Foundations — Boost energy, burn calories, improve balance, strength, and flexibility! This all-over body conditioning program incorporates gentle yoga and movement therapy and includes hand weights and resistance training. Its format is suitable for most all levels and will challenge even the most active fitness enthusiast! NOTE: All exercises are performed “in and around” a chair. Students “do not” recline to the floor.

Total Body Conditioning — Total Body Conditioning combines cardio and resistance work to an energetic beat to work out your whole body. With a range of exercise techniques that includes cardio, floor work, weights and resistance training, you’re guaranteed a varied class that will hit those areas that other workouts miss.

Zumba® — We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

ZUMBA Toning® — The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!

Yoga and Gentle Yoga — Let it flow slow and low in this interdisciplinary yoga practice. You can expect to improve flexibility, balance and lower stress with regular attendance.

Group Fitness Rules

  • ARRIVE ON TIME– A good warm up is an important aspect of a successful workout. Late arrivals are disruptive to the entire class.
  • STAY FOR THE WHOLE CLASS – The cool down is as important as the warm-up. Leaving class early is disruptive to the flow of the class.
  • KEEP CONVERSATIONS TO A MINIMUM during class. It is disruptive to others who are trying to hear and follow the instructor.
  • PARTICIPATE IN CLASS – Please refrain from “doing your own thing” while in class. This will allow for better class flow.
  • WAIT YOUR TURN! Please wait until one class is over before entering the studio for the one that follows.
  • PHONE/ELECTRONIC FREE ZONE. Group Exercise studios are phone/electronic free zones. Please silence or turn off your phones while participating in a class. Please leave the class to text or make a call.
  • DRESS APPROPRIETLEY for the class you’re taking. Open toed shoes such as sandals and flip flops are not allowed in the fitness center or fitness classes.
  • WIPE DOWN YOUR EQUIPMENT – Please wipe down the equipment after you use it. Gym wipes or solution in the spray bottle and paper towels are provided for you to do so.
  • RETURN ALL EQUIPMENT to its proper place after the class is finished.
  • STORE BELONGINGS IN A LOCKER – Please leave all of your belongings besides a towel and a water bottle in a locker.
  • BRING YOUR OWN MAT to classes for hygiene reasons.
  • TALK TO US! Instructors love to hear your feedback. Group Fitness classes are designed for you; so if you have feedback or a suggestion, let us know!
